Ryan Gorzitze prepares to toss a runner out in the first inning against
Oxnard on Wednesday.
Errors helped Oxnard build a 14-4 lead against Cerro Coso in the seventh
inning of the night cap of the Mashin’ in the Mojave tournament. But the
Coyote bats came to life in the ninth inning to make the game
interesting.
Cerro Coso had the tying run come to the plate trailing 14-12. But the
Condors managed to hang on to its lead to hand Cerro Coso its second
loss of the tournament.
In Tuesday’s night cap against Pasadena, Cerro Coso fell 8-7 after
defeating the same Oxnard team 10-8 earlier in the day.
Mashin’ in the Mojave will continue today with West Hills taking on
Oxnard starting at 10 a.m.
West Hills will turn around to play Cerro Coso at 2 p.m.
All games will take place at the Dawg Yard at Cerro Coso.
