With a chance to end the year above .500, the Cerro Coso baseball team
dropped a pair against San Bernardino to finish 21-23 for the year.
The Coyotes took a 9-7 lead into the bottom of the ninth before closer
Wes Oliver blew the save, giving up three runs to lose 10-9.
"The first game was ours to keep, it kind of reminded me of the Rio
Hondo series," said coach Dick Adams in reference to the series that
officially knocked Cerro Coso out of the playoff hunt.
The second game, coach Dick Adams let all of his pitchers have a chance
to throw a little bit, but the Coyotes were rocked for an 11-5 loss.
Cerro Coso finished the Foothill Conference schedule at an even 12-12 to
finish fifth.
