Coyote Baseball Camp Summer 2006

About the Camp

The Cerro Coso coaches will emphasize instruction in the fundamental skills of hitting, pitching, fielding, catching, and throwing. Analysis of strengths and suggested improvements will be made. A small player-to-coach ratio will enable each player to receive maximum personalized instruction. Goals are to stress improvement, development and the realization of each player's potential in a fun atmosphere.

Age Requirements: 7-14yrs old
Dates: June 12-14
Time: 8:00-12:00pm

Cost: Cost of this camp is $60.00 for four days. All campers receive excess liability insurance, instruction and a t-shirt.

Sign Up: Sign up is the first morning of the camp, starting at 7:00am.

Location: Camp will be held at the Raymond A McCue Athletic Complex (The Dawg Yard) located at Cerro Coso Community College, Ridgecrest CA. 93355

Inclement Weather: - In the event weather or unforeseen conditions, the camp staff reserves the right to adjust the schedule. Summer temperatures in Ridgecrest range from 90-105 degrees.

Insurance: Excess liability insurance is provided for each participant. Expenses resulting from illness or injury are the responsibility of the participant's parents or guardians. A local hospital is available at all times.

Instruction: Includes field instruction individual analysis during batting, catching, pitching, fielding and throwing. Hitting drills utilizing pitching machines, soft toss and batting tees.

Personal Needs: All participants will need to provide daily practice gets (mitt, shoes, hat and appropriate apparel to meet the weather demands). Water cooler and sunscreen would be appropriate. Campers will need to bring a small snack every day; we will take a short break mid morning.

Note: Each camp it seems like more campers purchase Coyote Baseball memorabilia. We usually have hats, and sometimes sweats and jackets. Please wait until the last day to purchase items.

Cancellations: Full Tuition less a $25 processing fee will be refunded at least one week prior to the start date of the camp.

Coyote Coaching Staff

Dick Adams has guided Cerro Coso College Coyotes through their first 12 seasons, recording a 272/207 record. The Coyotes won "back to back" Foothill Conference Championships in 1999-2000 while Dick was named Conference coach of the year. Ten of his players have received All State/All American honors. 17 have been named All Southern California. 100 Coyotes have moved on as student/athletes to four year colleges/universities, and six have signed professionally. Coach Adams previously was the assistant baseball coach at the University of Nevada, Reno. He played collegiate at California State University, Northridge, and professionally in the California Angels Farm System. He currently scouts for the Chicago Cubs.
