Assistant Coach, Paul Bassett

Assistant Coach Paul Bassett

Paul Bassett begins his first year as an assistant coach for Cerro Coso Community College. He comes from Las Vegas where he was a 1992 Graduate of Eldorado High School and has been coaching at Durango High School for the past six seasons. Paul began his collegiate career at Cerro Coso as a first baseman/catcher in 1993 and 1994. As a sophomore he helped lead the Coyotes to a second place finish in The Southern California Athletic Conference. Hitting a .435/.510 batting average, Paul was named to the All-Conference 1st team. After graduating with his AA, Paul transferred to The University of Southern Colorado. Paul brings a fresh and hardworking approach to the staff. Bassett’s duties will be to work with the catchers, first baseman, and hitters. He will be setting the team defense in games as well as coaching third base. Bassett will also be assisting with recruiting and field work.
