Another overtime brings another loss for Coyotes
By Nathan Ahle, The Daily Independent
The Cerro Coso Coyotes hosted the Chaffey College Panthers Saturday
night at home, hoping to keep their faint playoff hopes alive. Coso
entered the game at 3-9 in Foothill Conference play, and two wins were
critical in having a chance to advance beyond Wednesday's regular-season
finale.
This was not to be, as the Panthers used a solid shooting night and
strong defense after regulation ended to down the Coyotes 66-62.
These two teams met Jan. 22, with Cerro Coso being dealt its worst loss
of the conference season, a 68-52 Panther victory.

met up with the Chaffey Panthers Saturday night at the Raymond McCue
Athletic Complex. The Coyotes went to overtime for the second time this
season at home, but were unable to down Chaffey, losing 66-62. Compain
had two key blocks in the final minute of play to help the Coyotes
force overtime. |
