Cerro Coso high school hoop tourney set for this weekend

Cerro Coso Community College is sponsoring its second annual girls' high
school basketball tournament tonight and Saturday in Ridgecrest.
The games will be played at both Cerro Coso College and Burroughs High
School, with 17 teams participating in games with 36-minute running
clocks.
The teams will be divided into two divisions, a large school and small
school division. Local teams participating include the Burroughs
varsity, junior varsity and freshman teams, as well as a team from
Immanuel Christian School.
A championship game will be played Saturday night at CCCC in each
division, and there is a $1 admission charge for spectators. A
concession stand will be available at the college for refreshments.
