night in a non-league game played at Santa Ana.
After a difficult trip south from Ridgecrest, Cerro Coso (6-8, 3-1

the first half, the team was well out of contention and never fully
recovered.
Santa Ana led 26-19 at halftime and went on a 44-17 tear in the second
half to earn the victory.
Tashena Nelson led Cerro Coso in scoring for the first time this season,
notching 10 points. Candace Poleyestewa added nine points, while Cetra
Banks and Stephanie Hart contributed with six points and five points
respectively.
Ahkiah Hunter and Luz Gonzalez led the Dons in scoring with 14 points
each.
Cerro Coso will try to get back on track Wednesday night, as they travel
to Palm Desert to face College of the Desert in a Foothill Conference
game. The Coyotes' next home game is Jan. 24 against Chaffey College at
