End of Season Wrap-up for Women's Basketball

Despite an injured and depleted line-up the Cerro Coso Women's Basketball Team have completed a very successfull season. They finished 16-8 overall and 9-5 in the Foothill Conference. Head Coach Tom Heck, Assistant Coach Nathan Hiner and all of the players should be congratulated on their efforts. In conference play their only losses were basically to the two powerhouses (Antelope Valley and Chaffey). Due to injuries and attrition many games were played with only six or seven players. These young ladies showed a great deal of determination and grit. We should all be proud of the efforts of our Lady Coyotes.

Sunday's 12-2 win was splattered with great defense and great pitching performances - one that Head Coach Dick Adams will point to for the next nine weeks of Foothill Conference play.

Cerro Coso played errorless ball, which included the school's first-ever triple play and three double plays. In two of the Coyotes' losses this season, errors played a huge part in the outcome. Sunday was no different as Caņada had seven errors in the game. Read more...
